1385/1885 JOHN WICLIF. Superb Limited Edition "Biblia Pauperum," or, The Poor Man's Bible of the Lollards.
Probably the copy of this wonderful work in the finest state of preservation we have ever handled.
This beautiful facsimile of the "Lollard's Bible" by John Wycliffe and used and distributed to give access to the Scriptures during the proto-reformation era in England is a real treat to hold. A limited edition of just 375 copies executed in 1885 to celebrate the 500 year anniversary of its publication, bound in full vellum with hasps and clasps. It is printed on hand-laid paper by the famed Gresham Press for Unwin Brothers for binding. Just beautiful.
