1526 WILLIAM TYNDALE. Superb Full Color Facsimile on Hand-Laid Paper and in Fine, Calf Binding!
It has been a long time since a true first edition of William Tyndale's New Testament has come to market. If we were to hazard a guess at the value, we would think one in a good state of preservation might fetch in the $300,000-$500,000 price range.
To celebrate the 250 year anniversary, one of the finest book producers in England, David Paradine, issued this spectacularly presented limited edition facsimile of the copy owned by the College at Bristol in just 250 copies. They also published an additional undetermined number, on the same paper, in plain binding. This is one of the latter which has been beautifully bound in full calf, replicating a period paneled calf binding.
Full facsimile on finest hand laid paper; this is a beautiful production, and the only Tyndale facsimile of this quality ever produced.
