1649 THOMAS WATSON. God's Anatomy upon Man's Heart. Very Rare Puritan Work.
Thomas Watson's works are among the most desirable of all English puritan titles. And we get them very irregularly. They were simply too well-used in the time to have survived. The present, even among his works, is among the scarcest. I believe this is first time we have ever handled it.
Watson, Thomas. Gods Anatomy upon Mans Heart. Or, A Sermon Preached by Order of the Honorable House of Commons, at Margarets Westminster, Decemb. 27. Being a Day of Publique Humiliation. London. Printed for Ralph Smith, and are to be sold at his shop at the signe of the Bible in Cornhill neer the Royall Exchange. 1649. 27pp.
Good, removed from a large sammelband at some point, but complete as issued, including imprimatur sheet. Textually quite good with sepia ink numbers in upper right and just a few small ink lines in margins. Ex library on title.
If you wish to have this done up in nice period-style wraps, we're happy to help with that at cost. Our binder is usually $40-ish.
