An excellent little piece of Presbyterian, Puritan history, being the sermon of John Collinges [1624-1691] on the death of radical Presbyterian and anti-Monarchist, John Carter [1593-1655]. 

Always a vehement Presbyterian, after the English Civil War, the intensity of his frustration at the Monarchy and the lack of the progress of a Presbyterian theocracy grew. He was castigated by some [many?] as fanatical and after a series of three particularly severe sermons against the crown, he was deprived of his living and became an itinerant until his death in 1655.
