Wonderful early imprint of one of Owen's richest devotional works. Boldly autographed by Benjamin Trumbull, Nephew of the famous Jonathan Trumbull and Chaplain during the American Revolution. A lovely piece connecting the Puritan, Presbyterian theology of the early Patriots directly to their activity in the Revolution.

Owen, John, D.D. Of Communion with God the Father, Sonne, and Holy Ghost, Each Person Distinctly; In Love, Grace, and Consolation: or the Saints Fellowship with the Father, Sonne, and Holy Ghost, Unfolded. Oxford: Printed by A. Lichfield, Printer to the University, for Thos. Robinson, 1657. 320pp.

A textually well-preserved copy now separated from its leather binding. Signed by Benjamin Trumbull and then presented by Trumbull to Middleburg College. Minor ex library stamp; rather discrete. Very much worth preserving.

We are happy to assist in resourcing an appropriate binding.
