1677 JOHN OWEN. Justification by Faith through Imputed Righteousness. American Revolutionary War Provenance!
Wonderful early imprint of one of Owen's most important theological treatises in an attractively preserved period binding. Beautifully autographed by Benjamin Trumbull, Nephew of the famous Jonathan Trumbull and Chaplain during the American Revolution. A lovely piece connecting the Puritan, Presbyterian theology of the early Patriots directly to their activity in the Revolution.
