Very rare funeral sermon preached by the prominent Particular Baptist, John Gill at the death of Joseph Stennett [1692-1758]. Stennett was prominent among the Calvinistic Baptists, having pastored both in Exeter and then in London. His father was an important 17th century Baptist divine and author, and his brother Samuel Stennett was also of note as a pastor, author, and hymnist.
