A wonderfully preserved folio size engraving of Martin Luther executed by Richard Houston and printed for H. Parker & E. Bakewell in Cornhill in 1759, this the original printing.
A fine example, hand-colored. These were issued as black line engravings, this finished in to a very high quality by hand.
Professionally matted and framed. Ex Collection United Lutheran Church of America c.1900.
Measures 8.25 x 11.75 inches at the image reveal; 15 x 18 inches including frame and matting.
