Edwards, Jonathan. Sermonson Various Important Subjects. Being some of the Remains of the late Reverend and Learned Mr. Jonathan Edwards, President of the College at New-Jersey. Boston. Printed and Sold by S. Kneeland, in Queen-Street. M,DCC,LXV. 279pp.

Original full calf with chips at base of spine and corners rubbed through; for that, still solid and attractive. Original ownership signature of Oliver Barrett, 1766. Pastedown has abrasion at head of 3/4 x 3/4. Title good with minor stain at base. Some seem to have a single title page and some individual titles pages. This one has individual title pages for the two works rather than one for both. Both included and in good order. Text of work one in good order with some handling and a few very minor occasional tears and light foxing. The second work similar with a few pages having more prominent foxing and the block a bit spotted at foredge. Last leaf of text torn off below the "Finis," but not affecting text. Some leaves just slightly chipped at foredge, moreso toward the rear.

Overall a good, solid example of a very desirable work by Jonathan Edwards.
