Wonderful textually crisp first edition of manuscript sermons of the Scottish Covenanter, Robert Traill [1642-1716] discovered after his death and published for the first time in 1778. His father was an influential divine among the Covenanters [also Robert] and the son drank from the same wells. He was friends with co-laborers during the Marrow Controversy, etc., with Thomas Boston.
Traill, Robert. Elevent Sermons. By the Late Reverend Mr. Robert Traill. London. Edward and Charles Dilly. 1778. 251pp.
Textually crisp and clean, but lacking the front board. Very good candidate for a crisp little half leather binding; or, keep it as is. Actually looks alright on the shelf and quite usable.
