Excessively rare, the present work was written by sometime chaplain to Oliver Cromwell and doctrinal Puritan, Jeremiah White [1629-1707], but only published posthumously.

A fascinating work worked from the building blocks of classic Calvinist theology, i.e. predestination, election, and reprobation. But they are understood in such a way that that election, salvation, and sanctification of the elect benefit the non-elect and ultimately lead to the eternal happiness of all humanity. Of course, though built on classic Calvinist language, they have ceased to be so by any usual definition.

A work very much in the tradition of Gregory of Nyssa, etc.,

White, Jeremiah. The Restoration of All Things: or, a Vindication of the Goodness and Grace of God, to be Manifested at Last, in the Recovery of His Whole Creation Out of their Fall. By Jeremiah White. Chaplain to Oliver Cromwell. The Third Edition. with and Additional Preface; Containing Quotations from Divers other Authors, Not Mentioned in the First Preface, Who Have Wrote in Confirmation of the Above Doctrine. London. Printed for and Sold by John Denis & Son. 1779. 246pp.

A very good copy, bound in quarter leather, very solid, with bright and clean pages. An exceptionally crisp and clean example.
