1785 ROBERT LEIGHTON. Previously Unpublished Sermon to Clergy - Spurgeon Recommended!
Rare first edition of this posthumously published sermon to the clergy by Robert Leighton [1611-1684]. Known only from a 1701 posthumous MSs copy, later Leighton scholars have deemed it authentic and it appeared in his works throughout the 19th century.
Spurgeon said of his writings, that they are "truly heavenly" and "favorites with all spiritual men."
Excellent, on 2 Corinthians 5.20, Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us; we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
