Very rare early Methodist imprint of one of Bunyan's most oft-reprinted sermons. Scarce on the market.
Fletcher, John [John Bunyan]. A Race for Eternal Life. Being an Extract from the Heavenly Footman. A Sermon on I Corinthians ix. 24. Written by the Author of the Pilgrim's Progress. London. Printed by J. Paramore, at the Foundry, Moorfields: And sold at the New Chapel, City-Road; and at the Rev. Mr. Wesley's Preaching-Houses in Town and Country. 1787. 15pp.
Textually complete, this unusual early Methodist work has been removed from a larger sammelband; remainder of binding and some tears and abrasions at spine; corners rounded, some handling as shown. Textually complete and very usable. Weakened and could stand being stitched.
