Very rare variant engraving of a well-known image of James Hamilton, M.D., John Wesley M.A., and Joseph Cole issued as "Engraved by Consitt & Goodwill Hull." We trace only one other example of this specific print, offered by Grosvenor of London. Telford mentions it as well, so it was apparently known to him.

It reads as follows:

EIGHTY SEVEN YEARS HAVE I SOJOURNED ON THE EARTH, ENDEAVOURING TO DO GOOD. John Wesley

1. James Hamilton. M.D.
2. Revd. John Wesley. M.A.
3. Revd. Joseph Cole.

As they were seen walking on the Street at Edinburg in the year 1790, taken by an original genius who was expert in sketching with great correctness the figure of every eminent person that appeared publicly in that city.

In original black ebonized frame with wear as shown, gold leafed liner and original poured glass. Small loss at bottom right of glass, light rippled and small tears at head of engraving. A largely untouched original with lovely aged presentation.

Image reveal is 4.5 x 8.5 inches; framed to 8.25 x 8.5 inches.
