A very nice full leather sammelband, including three works personally inscribed by Princeton Presbyterian, A. A. Alexander, to fellow Presbyterian, Conrad Speece [1776-1836]. Speece was a prominent Virginia Presbyterian during the early part of the 19th century, a leading member of the the Second Great Awakening in the State. Interestingly, he was first ordained as a Baptist, but it was A. A. Alexander who convinced him of infant baptism, after which he joined with the Princetonians.

A wonderful little item.
