Very rare pre-Princeton Presbyterian periodical. The Virginia Religious Magazine was primarily the publication of the faculty of Liberty Hall Academy (now Hampden-Sydney College), published in Virginia from 1804 to 1807. Edited by then-President of Liberty Hall Academy, Archibald Alexander. Though primarily edited by Alexander, the day to day seems to have been handled by Rev. Conrad Speece, also of Liberty Hall Academy and pastor of Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church. Some months, more than half the contributions are by him.
