A charming little manuscript dating from 1809 and into the 1820's which contains some notes from the ledger of unnamed local Pennsylvania shop owner, though almost certainly from Providence.
Then, more interestingly, we have the planting schedule of a local gardener, including the planting of onion, radish, garlic, asparagus, sugar peas, small onions, summer savory, parsley saffron, cabbage, beans, cucumber, etc.,
Also, a small section of recipes from the period, including for Bread Pudding, Custard, Sugar Cake, and others.
Miscellaneous handwriting improvement work tipped in, etc., with some pages blank at the rear.
