A really wonderful little item in a variety of ways.
First, the primary work, i.e. the Vermont Adviser, is a very rare and important Great Awakening periodical.
Second, this copy was John Fitch's. He was one of the editors of the Magazine.
Third, this copy ended up going to the Backus Historical Society and form there includes a handwritten note by Alvah Hovey.
Finally, it has bound in the rear five rather rare sermons, each valuable and unsual on the makret in their own right.
