Rather unusual little sermon preached by Daniel Temple himself, just before departing for Malta with Isaac Bird to establish a mission for both Lebanon and Palestine. He brought with him the first printing press and oversaw the very first publication of tracts for the area. He was a grave and serious man. Sermon with extensive content relevant to his prophecied mass conversion of the Jewish people to Christ.

Bound at the rear is the Constitution of the Palestine Missionary Society.

Temple, Daniel. Sermon, Preached in the Old South Church, Boston, Sabbath Evening, Dec. 16, 1821, by the Rev. Daniel Temple, just before His Departure as a Missionary to Western Asia. Boston. Crocker and Brewster. 1821. 40pp.

Good, crisp copy textually; removed from a larger sammelband at some point, so quite weakly bound.
