Large 4to, 8.5 x 10.25 inches in very good, near fine condition in elaborately tooled black pebble morocco with raised bands, line tooled board foredges, tooled dentils, all edges of text block gilt in gold, and the whole exceptionally crisp and clean.
There is a clean tone mark on front pastedown and ffep, probably from an inserted paper at some point; bears the bookplate of James Keyden, the original owner, and then extensive family genealogy of the Keyden family of Carlinwark, Glasgow, etc. Three minor punctures at gutter on title. Exceptionally nice example.
