1830 HANNAH MORE. 87 Year Old Hannah More Signs a Book + First-Hand Unpublished Biographical Note.

A charming piece of Hannah More history, being a volume inscribed by her to Bristol merchant, John Nash Sanders, during a visit to her in her 87th year. Sanders then inscribes his first-hand recollections of his time with her, which are biographically unpublished.

In the hand of J. N. Sanders, Mrs More, now in the 87th year, wrote the above without spectacles: She conversed with JNS for nearly two hours on various subjects with great animation and evincing a clearness of intellect & memory truly surprising at her age; never appearing for a moment exhausted in the least degree: Her present visitors, two old friends, (the other persons in the room) observed that they had not for several years seen Mrs. More so fully in possession of her faculties.: Extreme benevolence was strikingly conspicuous.
