An exceptional assemblage of this rare Revival periodical, all in half calf with marbled boards. Aside from a very small chip on the spine of the first year, very good with light rubbing.

Joseph Belcher (1794-1859), b. Birmingham, England, Baptist minister. Belcher was pastor of churches in England, after moving to Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he became past of the a Baptist church in that city in 1844. In 1848 he became the minister at Mount Tabor Church in Philadelphia. A prolific author, Belcher edited the works of Robert Hall, the Last Remains of Rev. Andrew Fuller, and was the writer of Memoir of Robert Haldane, and Jame Alexander Haldane; Memorials of Baptist Martyrs; Missionary Converts in Heathen Lands; Pastoral Recollections; The Religious Denominations of the United States; a biography of Robert Raikes, &c.
