A very nice assemblage of occasional sermons and addresses delivered during the 1830's and into 1840, with a focus on Slavery and Temperance. Of special note are Horace Bushnell's 1839 address on slavery, the very rare review of Channing's influential work on Slavery, a lengthy report of the 1835 Temperance Conference, and an important funeral address for President Harrison.
