1835-1885 BIBLES & COMMON PRAYER. Assemblage of 7 Fine Victorian and Pre-Victorian Fine Presentations.

An absolutely superb assemblage of 7 fine presentation sets, for home or travel use, of the Common Prayer, Psalter, Hymns, and New Testament. This group displays the new creativity and versatility made possible in presentation after the cost of printing was driven down by the steam press. This grouping, with only the first and last being the operational binding, is an entire little binding exhibition all by itself.

Printed at the University Press. 1843. Both bindings by Hayday of London. Common prayer a bit dulled. Both very stable and clean. Toploading full leather case very sound, rubbed as shown. 3.5 x 6 x 2 inches.

Housed in a horizontal top-loaded full morocco case with working button latch. 3 x 4.5 x 1.75 inches.
