A well-preserved year of first publication edition of Charles Grandison Finney's important and influential work detailing his theology of Revival.

This was the sixth imprint, each of 2,000 copies, and each printed in 1835, in the same year of its original publication. No copies anywhere near this early period on the market; quite scarce.

Finney, Charles G[randison]. Lectures on Revivals of Religion. From Notes by the Editor of the N. Y. Evangelist, Revised by the Author. Sixth Edition, Each 2000 Copies. New York: Published by Leavitt, Lord & Co. 1835. 438pp

Original calf, neatly rebacked in buckram. Some foxing, very solid and clean.

Signed in pencil by Philo N. Curtis. As an interesting curiosity, it appears that his mother, grandmother, Mary Curtis was a member of the Stoddard family, and related to Jonathan Edwards and Solomon Stoddard.
