Wonderful little item dating from the earlier part of the 19th century, perhaps produced as part of the ephemera related to the Centennial in 1839.
Measuring over 7 inches in height and weighing nearly two pounds, this solid iron cast full body work depicting John Wesley preaching is really a charmer. Likely meant to depict him preaching from his father's grave, we have not been able to trace another single example of this form. Very details, some handling and wear as one would expect form a "for use" object.
