1842 THE HOLY BIBLE & BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER. Gift to Sculptor John Gott. Fine Bindings.
A very fine presentation set of the Scriptures and Common Prayer gifted to Mrs. John Gott in 1844. She was apparently a financial and spiritual supporter of the Sunday Schools in and around Armley and Leeds. Her husband, John Gott [d.1860] was a sculptor whose works continue to fetch considerable sums at auction today.
