1846 E. B. ELLIOT. Horae Apocalypticae. A Commentary on the Apocalypse. Scarce.
Very rare second expanded edition of "the greatest historicist exposition ever written." A monumental undertaking, Spurgeon considered it the standard for all works on the Apocalypse, especially as it tended to work against the fanciful expositional guess-work of the futurist school. Written in response to the inroads made in the Church of England by the teachings of people like Edward Irving and later, John Nelson Darby.
Very scarce on the market in the original editions.
