A very rare Christian Universalist - revivalist magazine with significant content against non-Christological spiritualism, mesmerism, etc., but also against the likes of Charles Grandison Finney and Elder Jacob Knapp. The authors argue for a deep personal, Christian experience, but are ardently opposed to the doctrine of Eternal Conscious Torment, arguing that it often leads to insanity, suicide, and despair . . . and that many leave the Christian faith because the doctrine is itself unethical and abhorrent to the thought of a loving, paternal God.

Also some interesting content on the rebooting of the Millerites after 1843, etc. Scarce.

Contents include: Mesmeric Revelations - Brother Williamson's Views of Davis' New Work; The Miraculous Conception - Its Pro and Con by E. J. Lewis; An Original Christmas Hymn by G.
