1849 RARE ESCHATOLOGY. The New World to Come. William Miller & Edward Irving!
A very scarce work indeed; we can find none having been offered on the opening market and but one institutional copy. The author, simple "A Servant of the Redeemer" on the title page and "A. J., Vermont" in the preface, remains unknown. A fascinating work with an interesting section on the wrongs and atrocities of the United States against Native Americans. . . which will be righted.
Discusses the Second Coming of Christ and the Millennium in great detail.
Servant of the Redeemer [A. J. of Rupert, Vermont]. The New World, in which Dwelleth Righteousness: With some Views of the World that Now Is; and Considerations of the State of Things, and of Events, Yet to Precede the Institution of the New Heavens and New Earth, at the Coming of Christ to Judge this World and to Receive His Own Proper Kingdo in the New Earth. Rochester, N.Y. Alling, Seymour & Co. 1849. 318pp.
Good - copy with spine cover lifting, some rubbing, but text very crisp with foxing on title and very slight upper edge tide mark on last few leaves.
Extremely rare. See two other associated rare titles on the same theme as well.
