What a wonderful assemblage of 16 finely bound matching bindings by Ramage of London, one of the mid-19th centuries pre-eminent binders. Each in fully crushed morocco with five raised bands, simple and elegant gold tooling, gilt dentils, signed on base on front board on interior, and edges gilt in real gold. Just lovely.

The small collection each bear a fine albumen photo neatly laid to the pastedown, perhaps the recipient. All works are quality Scottish and Evangelical Works. Really a wonderful, wonderful goup of works. Each of these bindings today would be about $300 each to have done, so a serious bargain.

Includes works by Spurgeon, Candlish [highly recommended by Spurgeon] Raleigh [again, highly recommended by Spurgeon], Paterson on the Orkney Revival, Alexander Maclaren, etc.,
