A very, very scarce document; no copies even in reprint or facsimile. William Haslam had been ordained a few years previous. He served first in Baldiu, but knew himself to be unconverted. It haunted him. Then, in 1851, the church gardener was converted. Haslam at first thought him under a delusion. He was assured however, and led to grace by revivalist, Robert Aitken. The result was not only his own conversion, but a revival in Cornwall. The present is an account and a defense of revivals.
Haslam ended up being a formative voice in the very earliest days of the Keswick movement as well.
