1852 JAMES HARINGTON EVANS. Memoirs & Remains. Pastor of Robert Cleaver Chapman + Edward Irving Content, etc.
Rather rare and historically and devotionally important work on James Harington Evans [1785-1849]. He was the Baptist minister at John Street Chapel in London. It was there Robert Cleaver Chapman, long-time friend and mentor of George Muller, found Christ. The work actually interacts with the early Plymouth Brethren as well. Also there is a fascinating section on Edward Irving and the proto-pentecostal movement at Irving's church in London.

Good -, worn at extremities, neatly respined [which attests to the enduring value of the work], and generally clean and sound textually. Inscribed to the Rev. James B. Hamilton of Kilmarnock, Scotland.
