1855-1916 C. H. SPURGEON. A Near-Complete Run of the New Park Street & Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpits!
1855-1916 C. H. SPURGEON. A Near-Complete Run of the New Park Street & Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpits!
A fantastic opportunity for someone. The present is a complete run, beginning with volume 1, 1855, of the New Park Street Pulpit, and running to even the posthumous issues through 1916, lacking only one posthumous issue, i.e. 1910.
Spurgeon, C. H. The New Park Street Pulpit / Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit, Containing Sermons Preached and Revised by the Rev. C. H. Spurgeon, Minister of the Chapel. Volumes 1-61. London. Passmore and Alabaster. 1855-1916. Variously Paginated.
A 61 volume set consisting of good to fair copies only, bound in cloth, and half leather bindings, ranging from generally solid to nearly disbound. Page conditions vary across volumes.
Of special interest is one volume inscribed by J. A. Spurgeon, and one containing an original albumen photograph of Spurgeon. All but a couple of stable enough for continued use and a couple examples lack titles. All are textually complete and contain text markings largely in pencil.
