1855 THE BOOK OF BEAUTY. One of the Finest Female Gift Presentation Books of the 19th Century!
This is a simply beautiful volume. Bound in superb full morocco with elaborate tooling, original chapters by promiment female authors, and then with full page fine engravings by Jackman, Rogers, Halpin, Forrest, etc.,
The last copy I saw on the market I think was $350ish and it has sold. Perhaps the finest trade volume published for women in the 19th century. It was issued for Christmas, 1855. It would be a lovely gift for Christmas 2020.
