Very rare biography of Adoniram Judson's successor. Sensing a call to Myanmar [Burmah, Burma] after hearing Luther Rice preach on the recent arrival of Judson and company, he enlisted to join them, but was rejected. He took a rather prominent church, but felt it not "difficult" enough, and resigned, accepting a more challenging field of evangelism. He was then brought on by the Missionary Board as a General Agent to raise funds and awareness for missions. But in 1830, when it became obvious that Judson could not continue the village to village ministry and complete his translation of the Bible, Kincaid joined Judson to become their official village preaching and evangelization person so Judson could complete his New Testament.
Scarce in the trade.
