A slightly later imprint of the first edition, but these are the first sermons of Spurgeon's published in America, and here accompanied by a very fresh-faced younger engraving and a biographical sketch original to the volume by E. L. Magoon.
Note, what is here called an "edition" is in today's use instead a "printing." This present volume is the first American edition, and an 1858 printing.
