Very rare volume of sermons by James W. Alexander of Princeton. He was highly involved in the  1858-1859 revival in Philadelphia that flowed out of the Fulton Street Revival, etc., his final discourses preached during the Revival on sacramental occasions. Then, on the blank ffep inscribed to Mrs. Elizabeth M'Clung from Janetta Alexander, daughter of J. W. Alexander, dated February 13, 1861.

Alexander, James W. Sacramental Discourses. New York. Anson D. F. Randolph. 1860. 366pp.

Good + with some rubbing and bumping at extremities, but attractive, solid and clean. Inscription from daughter and a later ownshiper inscription on blank ffep. Just a handful of very light pencil marks to text. Very solid.
