A nice little association copy of James A. Haldane's classic Scottish work on the atonement. It is signed by Robert Haldane [1805-1877], son of James, named after James' brother [See the Life of Robert and James Haldane, Banner of Truth]. It is then signed at the head of the title by J. Denham Smith [1817-1889], prominent author among the Plymouth Brethren.
