A very, very scarce volume of assembled sermons by C. H. Spurgeon specifically composed of sermons he selected as best articulating his doctrines of grace. This was never reprinted in this form [though these sermons do appear elsewhere in the PSP & MTP, etc.] and this was the only work Spurgeon ever published explicitly articulating his view of the Gospel at large, its interaction with the doctrines of grace, Calvinism, and human responsibility.

In 25 years of buying Spurgeonalia, we have never before even seen a copy of this book.

Spurgeon, C. H. Sermons Upon Divine Grace and Human Responsibility. London. Passmore & Alabaster. Nd. c.1863.

Sermons include: The form of Sound Words [on the value of doctrine]; Effects of Sound Doctrine; Constraining Love [irresistible grace]; Election; The Infallibility of God's Purpose; Jacob and Esau; Election and Holiness; Human Responsibility; Human Inability; etc.

Good with some minor chips at head and base of spine, a bit rubbed at corners, but binding solid and attractive. Interior binding a bit tender with two gatherings shaken. Text very clean.
