The most significant early attempt at a full documentation of the Abraham Lincoln assassination trials, complete with extensive woodcut illustrations, etc., It was offered in two versions, i.e. a copy in wraps and one in cloth, the cloth being the rarer of the two on the market.
The last copy, in wraps, offered at auction fetched just under $1,000.00 and was in less than desirable condition.

A good + copy, bound in cloth with minor chips on the hinges and spine, but generally solid. Has generally bright pages with light foxing, is slightly toned throughout and has minor stains at the head of one signature.
