1868 WILLIAM CAREY TAYLOR. 124pp Manuscript Sermons by Important Kentucky Baptist!
Wonderful 124pp manuscript by prominent Baptist preacher, Elder William Carey [W. C.] Taylor from Cromwell, Kentucky. He was the son of Elder Alfred Taylor, whose manuscript we also have for sale. He was also author of the biography of his father, published 1878. See here: http://baptisthistoryhomepage.com/taylor.alfred.biography.html].
He was one of the most respected Baptist preachers of the era, having preached at the Logan County Association Conference and pastored Providence Baptist Church, one of the most influential Baptist churches of the era. It was dedicated by the famed J. R. Graves.
The present volume, entirely full, is largely manuscript sermons with a few pages on Baptist history we'll describe in a moment. All contents date from between 1868 and 1872, during the period of Reconstruction in Kentucky.
