A rather rare imprint, especially retaining all of its original full page plates, recounting the observations of the 1869 eclipse in Iowa.

Good + in original cloth, large 4to,, some chipping and ex library to exterior as shown, remaining solid. Text clean with subtlest of stain to upper right corner for the last few leaves. Includes the often-wanting original photographic print, i.e. plate IX.
