A really wonderful assemblage of 24 works from the Greek and Roman eras, including Pliny, Plato, Aristotle, Demosthenes, and more. And bound in these really nicely preserved quarter vellum bindings with morocco labels. Very solid and clean generally, but with general wear and vellum discoloration [as usual], this makes an exceptionally attractive set on the shelf.

A good + set, bound in quarter vellum, with some rubbing as shown, and a few corners through. Text is very solid, with generally bright pages and light foxing, but heavier on the prelims. A few very minor tide marks at page edges. A very shelf-handsome grouping. A bit irregularly colored as usual for aged vellum.
