A rather rare first edition of Finney’s successor’s work on the Baptism of the Spirit, published by Phoebe Palmer’s son. Shortly after the arrival of this first edition, it was published in subsequent editions bound with Finney’s “The Enduement of Power.” A holiness, revival classic and here in the true first edition.
Asa Mahan [1799-1889] was President of Oberlin after Finney, a radical abolitionist, and was later President of Adrian College as well.
