Very scarce in the trade with but one example offered at auction in the records from 1900 until now. A fascinating work based in history showing the blending of honest piety with the faults and flaws of westernizing evangelism practices of Native American populations. These accelerated in the 19th century and were less pronounced during the period of the present work.

Includes content regarding the Moravian revival, Count Nicholas von Zinzendorf, David Zeisberger, a lovely illustration of an Iroquois Warrior, etc.,

[Anonymous]. The Moravian Indian Boy. A Tale of the Pilgrimage of the Moravian Indians from the Susquehanna to the Muskingum. Philadelphia. Presbyterian Board of Publication. Nd. 1870. 206pp.

[Sabin #50525]. Good to good + with fading to spine, nicks to cloth at head and tail, old ex 19th century Blauvelt Mission Band. Corners bumped, textually very good, solid and clean. A very respectable working copy.
