1871 Charles G. Finney. Rare Addressed, Docketed Enveloped in Hand of C. G. Finney

A superb 1871 original envelope addressed to Charles G. Finney. There is then a marginal docketing on the front panel in Finney’s hand, though not signed. Released from the archive of the Finney Papers.

Physical artifacts related to Finney are exceptionally rare. Because of his close association with Oberlin University, they did a nearly spotless job of harvesting just about everything of interest and have it now in their archives. This item was actually obtained as a gift from the Oberlin Archives, so has spotless provenance.
