This is the only example of this very rare, British made salt glaze stoneware pitcher we have ever seen or handled. And it is pristine.
Likely issued during the 1874 revival period when the reputation of Moody and Sankey were at their height in England. And, similarly to Spurgeon commercial artifacts and earlier artifacts related to John Wesley, various industries crafted products to sell adjacent to the revival movement. Some of them were officially licensed and others were not. The absence of a maker would suggest this was done without license from Moody and Sankey.
It measures 7.5 inches in height and was clearly crafted in two mirrored halves with the only material difference being the name on the ribbon, Moody vs Sankey, and the three dimension onlay of the same.
Condition-wise, it is likely the finest example extant. Other than a very slight textural abrasion, likely from use, at the lip, it is essentially unblemished.
