A charming pair of 19th century hymnals, the second of which has a wonderful inscription from use with services of Evangelist Thomas Needham, friend of D. L. Moody and brother to evangelist George Needham.

Very early imprint in limp cloth. Minor rubbing at extremities, rear wrap folded at one time; a few dog-eared pages. Sound and attractive.

Needham" The recipient's name likely in her own hand and quite different from the remainder of the inscription. The remainder either in Avis' or Needham's hand."
