A very finely preserved, simple 1p. ALS entirely in the hand of founder of the modern fairy tale, George MacDonald [1824-1905]. His works remain aggressively collected, and are memorialized in the leaves of those who consider him a chief influence, i.e. C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, etc.
Content wise a bit flat, but a perfect framing example as it occupies one page quite neatly.
